JUMPS PDK sensor installed in the PDK transmission

When a group of four Porsche enthusiasts got together in 2022 to create a new distance sensor, it was difficult to predict what would emerge. Their extensive experience in the aerospace industry was put to work, and after two years of development and testing, the JUMPS PDK distance and speed sensor was the result.

The name JUMPS is derived from the first letter of the online names used by the four members of the team:

J - jjrichar, M - muddtt, P - PV997, S - stjoh.

Why did they want to make a new sensor? Other options available performed poorly, required soldering into the existing wiring harness, and were very expensive. It was clear after consultation with the Porsche community and numerous workshops that a better solution was desired.

Now preferred by many workshops around the world, the JUMPS PDK distance and speed sensor offers the premium sensor replacement option for a failed PDK distance sensor or speed sensor. No soldering into the existing wiring harness. Simply remove and replace. Calibration is easy. Gone are the days of multiple calibration attempts for success. Modern electronics replace the older OEM sensor components.

JUMPS is what the Porsche workshops & DIYer’s asked for. Low cost, reliable and effective. For the JUMPS team, the outcome of the project is something we are very proud of, and we hope to continue to serve the community long into the future.
